Out of respect for the family, no names will be posted.
From my understanding, a 2nd grader was killed this weekend in an ATV accident (off-road golf cart type). An adult was supposedly driving.
Not sure of all the details, nor does it really matter at this point. But if you are a parent that allows your child to drive or ride around in one of these type of ATVs, please make sure you understand the risks associated with them.
In my neighborhood, it is very popular to have a golf cart of some sort and often times I see young children that have no business driving them behind the steering wheel. And the cycle continues on so that one neighbor can keep up with the other neighbor.
Very sad that a parent lost their child this past weekend due to something that could have ultimately been prevented. Prayers go out to them in this great time of need.

Is this a seperate incident from that of the one off Greenwell Springs where the 6 or 7 year old died on the ATV?

This story or kid locked out of home who froze to death.

Didn't realize this was already posted.
From my understanding, his mother lived in Central area while his father lived in Ascension Parish.

Didn't see it on the first 4 pages. If it was posted, I missed it.

They had another article stating something about a sister also in critical condition. Haven't heard any more.
