Anybody else on the OT power go out about 45 minutes ago in Prairiville near Galvez? Heard a big boom like a transformer blew and the power has been out ever since. Odd thing is we didn't have more than a 30 minute rain shower and it wasn't even that powerful. Also, our power hardly ever goes out.

with this kind of heat, you have a pretty good load on an electric power grid...once in a while a transformer will bust a nut....

ETA: just call the power company to report the outage and tell them what you heard and the direction that it came from.

I'm in keystone. Heard the same boom and power still out. What's odd is half the neighborhood still has it

Don't say the address but what street are you on? I'm on Yellowstone in Keystone. Yea I think that other guy is probably right, the transformer probably blew.

Down the street in Greystone... we're out too.

Have a 5 day old, so this could get interesting in a hurry
