Yeah, I'm really not sure what on Earth he's doing.

Not sure he is either though.

You have obviously never been in the Army or any other service and he has probably not fired a weapon in a long time because quite frankly he doesn't have to being a General. A 2 star would almost never be in a position where he would have to fire a weapon. They are more like CEO's at that level and do not know or remember doing much tactical shite.

No, I'm currently in the military. While I agree, he might not ever have to shoot, it doesn't change the fact that he should know how to correctly fire his weapon. But hey, what do I know? Marines all have to qualify with a rifle before they leave boot camp or OCS and once a year after leaving boot camp/OCS, no matter the MOS. Maybe it's not so for the Army? Which is an even worse look for the Army.

He had to qualify with a weapon in OCS but probably has not touched a weapon since becoming a Field Grade Officer which is probably many years. I know we had to get National Guard guys up to par though they weren't quite as bad as this. If you are not around weapons and haven't fired one in years I can see how it would happen. My question is where is the NCO to square him away?

Mir asked that I pass this along.
