The bank at the Alberson's on Airline & Highland actually had a shooting during the bank robbery several years back. I think someone may have been killed.

Wasn't that where that cop was killed?

I was in that same location in 2006 or 07 and someone robbed that bank. It was a regions then I believe.

I had no clue and when I got to the checkout the place was empty. Cops all rolled in a few minutes after. All the workers and customers were back behind the deli.

Yea. was between 2001-2005 bc I remember where I was working when I heard about it. They chased the robber/murderer down Highland through some wooded areas.

So the perps most likely live near the area. Magnolia Woods?

You are obviously trolling and do not know shite about this area. I have lived in Mag Woods for 13 years. Wonderful area.

You know what's scary to think about. I personally have been in 3 armed robberies of businesses and a victim one personal armed robbery sitting in my car.

NONE made the news. Granted this was 90s and then 2002 for the last one but that's fricked up how few armed robberies were reported back then. That's why we think crime is so much higher now. Perspective.

Nice house. I think I know the one you refer to. Every afternoon there are lots of people walking, jogging, biking. Close to everything.

well i live in Southdowns on a corner lot. I am not a fan of renovating.

Just had a baby

The SO wants a pool and that one happens to have a pool. I just thought Mag Woods had more crime if you want to call it that

I know enough about the area and can't imagine in the last 20 yrs it has "improved".

MW is a nice neighborhood linked to KW, however the surroundings inevitably leak in.

Many people have good childhood memories surrounding their neighborhoods and people get sensitive when someone suggests there may be a flaw, but you can only put so much makeup over a sore.

Not sure what crime you refer to. We have, over six streets, 26 houses completely renovated (or built/being built) from the ground up in Mag Woods/ Laurel Lea. Obviously some people have taken notice to greatness of this area. And, property values remain high and climbing and will continue since we did not flood. Regarding the robbery its unfortunate that it happened at all especially in a nice part of town.

Linking the armed robbery of a bank to a neighborhood you obviously know nothing about is absurd. What leaked in? On my street alone there are three houses being built. Ivestment in the area is what is leaking in.

You just missed the suspect. He entered shortly after this and posed as a customer in Albertson's before contacting the tellers at Chase.

The 6:00pm local Baton Rouge news should be releasing a photo of the suspect. He fled the scene in a white newer model Ford F-150.

Do work OT.
