The Advocate

quote:

A man fatally shot someone he said was trying to rob him in a gasoline station parking lot in Marrero on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.

quote:

The man under questioning said he had gotten into his car outside of the One Stop at 6501 Lapalco Blvd. when was approached by another man who was wielding a gun and wanted to rob him about 1 p.m., according to Fortunato. The man under questioning then grabbed his own gun and fired at the man who had approached him, striking and killing him, Fortunato said.

If accurate and true, don't care.

Based on the part of Marrero that store is in, I'd say 98% chance that both are black.

doesn't matter which races were involved. a POS tried robbing someone and suffered the appropriate consequences from a man defending himself.

"A chaotic scene unfolded as the dead man's relatives began to arrive at the store. An elderly woman drove by in her car and stopped upon seeing the body behind a red vehicle in the parking lot. She began pounding on the steering wheel, repeatedly screaming "Oh no!""

This is one thing I don't understand about the (now nearly dead) Black Lives Matter movement. Why did they think the death of the criminals was a bad thing? Shouldn't they have been celebrating the deaths of people who would never terrorize the black community again?
