Are YouTube Music Ads the most annoying ad campaign of all time?

As a person who watches and listens to YouTube videos pretty consistently, I can't start a video without one of these shitty ads playing. I'm going to put the master link HERE, but let's dissect these shitty ads one at a time:

1) Jaysn: First off, what a fricking stupid name. I might could let it pass if he was named by a bunch of immigrants who didn't know the alphabet, but it still doesn't excuse the nurses and doctors who allowed that spelling to pass on his birth certificate. For the rest of this kids life, all of his teachers are going to think his parents are a bunch of morons and his resume will instantly go in the shredder regardless of his qualifications. But back to the video, the kid acts like a spaz and would probably make him a very active target for anyone wanting to mug him. So yeah 11 year old kids, go onto a shady subway station alone and dance manically and see how that works out. Great message.

2) Alex: I really have to wonder how much they paid the actor to star in this one. Onto the video, the guy works a minimum wage job and is then pulled up beside a bunch of rednecks in a truck who look at him. Obviously the message of this is any white man who drives a pick-up truck is a racist, homophobic frickhead who wants to destroy the environment and is out to their latest cross burning. The main actor in this commercial is a white male, but YouTube clearly wants to remind us that Alex is the exception to this rule, and all other white men are assholes trying to subjugate society at large to their will. So then Alex gets home, and gives his dad a high five, who seems to have a stiff drink (that he's going to need) and a mountain dew in front of him. So Alex goes into his room, puts on make-up and crossdresses, and then walks out the door, to a likely horrified father. I guess he's trying to make up for a lack of mother in his life. Plus isn't this offensive to trans-people who feel as if they're permanently trapped in the wrong body rather than someone who just does it for fun? I really don't think YouTube understands their easily triggered target audience.

3) Tina: So Tina is on the side of the road picking up trash.... ok so long as she is young and trying to make ends meet by picking up some sort of skill, I can let this slide.... Wait is she getting off from someone in a sheriff's badge? Is she just getting out of the joint? Oh and she has a kid too who is with her baby's daddy. Just a wonderful message to send to a national audience. Have a kid, rob a gas station, go to jail, pick up trash, and then have your kid waiting for you outside all on the tax payer's dime. Yeah, YouTube is now advocating that it is completely acceptable to commit crimes, pop out kids you can't afford, and waste hundreds of thousands of tax payers dollars. I guess it could have been worse since the father could not have been in the situation at all, so great job, Dad! How fricking high on the smell of their own farts were the people who made this campaign?

4) Kristen: Well Kristen is just on a plane and starts bawling hysterically as soon as the song starts playing... well at least this commercial tells me something about the product that I can use it in Airplane Mode, but I guess it's saying this App is also for the manically depressed. This is the best one yet.

5) Afsa: Oh yeah, look how liberated Afsa is, screaming down the hallway as ridiculously as Jaysn was earlier. And keep in mind she's wearing a garb that literally means "submission" while she keeps on singing a song about being "untouched". And I wonder where she is, because I have a hard time believing she could go down a hallway singing about being "untouched" with suggestive lyrics in Saudi Arabia or Syria, especially since this is an ideology that has women worldwide as second class citizens.

If only George Carlin was alive to see this. He would have had a field day rant with this shite. Hopefully someone like Bill Burr or Louis CK could go to town on it.

/Rant

I actively don't want that now. It seems that SJWs are their only audience. I'll pass.

I'm actually shocked when I watch Youtube on a device and the ads are baked in.

On desktop? I've been using Firefox with the A word for so long, it probably predates youtube.

Yeah, I do outside sales, so I do YouTube a lot over the phone. The Tina one sent me over the edge when I actually watched what it was doing instead of listening to it. It is really advocating criminal behavior and popping out kids you can't afford. The others I can see some sort of bullshite argument for, but YouTube should issue a public apology by making Tina some sort of role model for kids and teenagers to emulate. I just can't imagine the round table discussion when they came up with that ad. I would have pulled my hair out.

Do you really expect anybody to all that? I rather watch a you tube ad than attention reading all that bullshite.

People gave me shite when I was complaining about this more than a month ago.

Fortunately, I haven't come across the specific adds you referenced, but I have encountered mini-vesions as part of this campaing which involved transexuals, Muslims, and every conceivable minority...all listening to the same shitty hip-hop.

It's like the marketing team is going out of its way to avoid targeting the largest demographics in the U.S.

They aren't actually targeting the demographics they depict. They are targeting people who sympathize with the demographics.

Yeah, just SJWs. As I said with the crossdresser, I think that may be offensive to actual people who identify as transgender. The guy goes to work, is fine, and then Friday night hits, and he's crossdressing. That seems to be more of a kink than an identity. Are criminals going to look at Tina's commercial with pride and say "That's me"? What about fundamentalist Muslims with Afsa running down the halls singing manically to sexually suggestive lyrics? Or the depressed girl crying on a plane to a certain song?

No, none of these commercials appeal to these groups. It's solely appealed to liberal pussies who don't see the world for how it actually is, and see it through rainbow tinted glasses through the eyes of the so-called "oppressed".
