Well to be fair, we've never had such unlikable candidates. BR flooded. Cops murderd. Racial tension seems to have not progressed. LSU football sucked. Saints sucked. Hillary didn't go to prison. Oil basically bottomed out. Etc etc

Can you really not see why some folks, especially from BR and surrounding areas, had one of the worst years of their lives?

Our community experienced tornados, "riots", police murders, and a flood that destroyed the homes of hundreds of thousands of people. If you didn't have your home flood, you were related to or good friends with someone who did. It's been a very difficult year in many regards for this community. Instead of minimizing it, just let people acknowledge the pain or stress they felt this year. I think we are all hopeful and optimistic that 2017 will be better.

It's an international thing. I'm not talking about just Baton Rouge. All my friends and family from the area are not bitching like that. It's more of an Internet observation.
