I'll even keep in the op's subject...

It's no better or worse than shitty famous white people's group dances like the Electric Slide or the Macarena.

That's fine and I believe you but just realize how disingenuous, "My black friends," sounds. I feel the same way and am guilty of saying the same thing because if it's true, you should feel like it's a convincing argument but it isn't.

That said, that was just art of my post, please acknowledge the rest of it. The premise of your OP is basically that technology will be our demise and I simply say that every generation says the same thing but it hasn't happened yet. Certainly there are arguments against what I said so stick to the meat of the post and keep addressing your point.

I completely agree with the sentiment about the black friend argument. I even though about that during the typing of my post and knew someone would say it. But I said screw it.

And I was moreso suggesting the new kind of rampant idiocracy that is allowed and even encouraged, to take place is worse than ever.

i feel like something big is going to have to happen to get everyone to come to their senses

Like what? If you view the world's future on the comments you see on Facebook then fearing for humanity is warranted. HOWEVER, I've come to know that only my idiot friends' comment on things named, "Liberals Blow" or "Republicans Keep the Change," and they aren't worth blocking or your time.
