Are Mexicans and Mex-Ams under represented in MLB?

It seems that given the large population of Mexican-Americans and with Mexico as a neighbor, there would be more Mexicans on present day rosters. There's a ton of latinos but most are from other countries.
I always figured they weren't common in the NFL due to cultural reasons, but is it a mis-perception that baseball is a popular sport in the Mexican culture?

They aren't Cubans, man.
ETA: They also aren't in the NFL not because of cultural reasons, but simply because the typical Mexican (or Hispanic in general) doesn't have the kind of physique to be a professional football player. I played with a few Hispanic guys in HS but they were all undersized.

From what I'm told it's only popular in very north Mexico. Mexicans are all like 5'6 so most can't play professional sports.

I honestly always thought Mexicans liked the baseball, but I grew up pretty much only around whites and blacks. There was only one Mexican I knew of at my high school and he was on the baseball team.

Why? Do you have a study that shows they are proportionally more talented at Baseball and denied for less talented people of other races?
Major League Sports pick the most talented players regardless of anything else.
Ray Lewis murdered a guy and no one gave a shite because he was a hell of a player. Major League sports are full of stories like that.
