Pigeon is the "town". Lower Grand river is the actual body of water that parts, one turning into Belle River and the other flowing under the bridge at Pierre Part and into Verret.
Bayou Pigeon is actually on the other side of the levee in the spillway.
To answer your question, yes, all the water from Bayou Plaquemine, Gross Tete and north between the levees flows into that little bayou before splitting.

Not really a lot of development out there, but I know there's been issues with agricultural land draining into False River and causing it to silt up in some parts. It was about a foot or two from the bottom of Morel's restaurant in late April, then it drew down for about a month before coming up again last week.

Something like 40" of rain in the area this year already.
