Today I flew into JFK from Cameroon through CDG. Just out of curiosity, when asked where I had come from, I answered West Africa, no specific country. "OK sir, have a nice day".

I was one of the managers for a service company on rotation. First of the year they are promoting me to a live in project manager for the biggest project we will have going in all of Africa. So this will be my final trip to the US for at least 6 months.

What are you interested in doing?

Anything. I have an economics degree from Vanderbilt working a dead end job (clinical research) in a hospital in NYC (thought I wanted to go back to med school in my late 20's).

Having a job that requires travel to Africa sounds enticing.

Haha- not sure if you were asking for all of that but I felt like venting. Cheers.

Wish I could help but I'm sorry to say I'm in the wrong field to offer any advice. Nurse may be able to tho.

You think they would have treated you the same if you were in head to toe African garb and said "I come from Afreeeka!"?

It's for a good cause. Going to trade it and the daughter's acura for something more reliable for her. My company will be providing my housing and transportation. No need to keep it but I will miss it.

Did they have your passport? They can tell what countries you had been too and Cameroon is not one of the Ebola 3.
