Anything nastier than drinking the community wine at church?

I'm no church regular but Ive always been repulsed by that and have never taken a sip. The thought of drinking backwash of spit and pieces of wafer is truly disgusting. Wiping off the rim with a rag doesn't do much. Then to top it off the priest knocks back any leftover wine to empty the chalice. Nasty

I have never once drank the wine in Church. First its disgusting, and second drinking after people is disgusting.

In college, my Pentecostal roommate tried to convince me that the water Jesus turned into wine was actually grape juice...
My next question was, why the frick did they call it wine and not grape juice...?

I can easily think of many things nastier off the top of my head...sharing a cup with a congregation doesn't even crack the Top 10
