Look into GrillGrates. You can turn any gas grill into infrared. Then one grill can be both infrared and open flame.

I have the Char Broil infrared. I use it pretty heavily, no complaints.

It's better, but be prepared to replace the grates. They are a Pain to clean and fall apart if you aren't careful. I paid $500 bucks for mine and it has the same shitty material that rusted out of my last grill. The stainless steel hood is still pristine though. Having said that, it's going on 5 years now and still working. It's a Chargrill pro series.

My next grill will be a cheap round one from Tractor Supply.

I have a 4 burner one. I hate it. CharBroil is from here in Columbus Georgia. They actually have a factory store in the Industrial area where you can get great deals on their stuff. I like to grill pork and fish/shrimp. It gets way to hot for any of those. Does a steak well. I will never buy another one. Although I like having a gas grill.
