Temp license plate has been expired for 14 days.

I know the fine for no brake tag runs $175+ (which he can't get without his registration which is likely sitting at the dealership.)

Curious as to the fine for the second violation. Kid won't get off his arse to get his car legal.

People have to learn the laws & rules apply to everyone.

Let him get caught and have to pay for it.

Not my kid. Just a kid I know. Actually he's in grad school so not a kid, but a kid to this 40+ year old.

Take his fricking keys until he gets it legal. Damn, raise your kid.

Edit. Just saw it wasn't your kid. Sorry.

You must be from Alabama because your reading comprehension sucks.

20 years in the legal field.

I worked in insurance defense. I no longer have access to Lexis or Nexis. Usually traffic violations are not published caselaw unless it involves other statute violations.

I think it depends on where he gets the ticket.

Going on "expired license plate", in BR it looks like the fine is $119. LINK

In NO, $152.50 or maybe $222.50; it's not exactly clear on this LINK.

In St. John Parish, $229.50. LINK

Are you talking about the paper temp tag that the dealership issues that expires in 60 days? If you are stopped with expired temp tag they can impound the car. Permanent plate and registration should be at dealership or some dealers will mail out to owner.

Apparently your reading comprehension is the issue. I replies to the OP. Then I edited after I read further down and saw it wasn't your kid and even apologized.

Why the frick do you even care if it's not your kid. Nosy gash.
