I think it's not over the top. Their schedule is tight as frick. The troopers are not there b/c someone wants to hurt him.
And before anyone asks like them rednecks on Livingston Parish's Facebook Page, American Idol is paying for EVERYTHING. No taxpayer dollars are being used for the police, etc.
The show's ratings are through the roof this year.
And it's Final 3 kids so they spend big $$ for filler stuff like these home-town parades and shite.

I never thought about them filming this ride for AI. I sure hope the cameras weren't on inside that stretch SUV when I passed and made eye contact with him. I looked at him like he shot my dog. At least I chose not to flip off the Limo as I passed, like I had planned to.

Dude, it was Hardy. I rolled right next to him as his window was down. I do think it was a Government stretch SUV, which I don't understand the need for, but that's neither here, nor there.

That's just his hollywood costume. When he's in Louisiana he wears his Louisiana costume of overalls, chews mail pouch tobacky, and rows his pirogue every where.
