Friend of mine is in a room. A little banged up. I won't be able to get to see him. Figured the least I could do is send the guy some decent food.

I dont know how they would deliver something to him.

I wouldn't think it would be any different than ordering food to a hotel room.

Just meet the pizza dude in the front of the building and block the ambulances. It will make for a great story one day.

Make sure he isn't on a special diet. You don't want to be the jack hole that gives him food in a consistency that he can't swallow and cause him to aspirate. Or be the guy that gives a diabetic a honey bun and gets his sugars over 800.

Would ask the nurses.
Chances are they order delivery often for themselves, they'll know the places that tend to deliver to the hospital and the logistics of getting it to the room. Most places will require deliver to the main lobby. Never seen anyone ever order it direct to their room/floor. But I don't work at olol.

When i worked in healthcare i hated when patients treated a hospital like a hotel.......

When i worked at a hospital, we'd order food all the time and sent someone down to the lobby to pick it up.

Waitr?

It's a food delivery service that picks up from places that don't deliver. It's mostly in LA, Houston and Birmingham I think. Most medium to large cities have something similar by now I'd imagine
