I just moved to Oxford, MS and have been told I could make really good money renting out my place on gameday weekends. Since I am not interested in but one game every two years, I am intrigued by it, but want some perspective. Things like liability, insurance, and other safety issue (burglary, etc.) concern me. However, the payoff of $500-$1,000/night is very enticing. If anyone has done this, I would love a provider's point of view.

On game days it goes like this. You rent a place out for $500 for 24 hours. Then, you bring in the fine arse girl and rent the room WITH the girl for $500 per hour.

So, you make $12,000 off of the original $500 rental. Thanks for renting me your room for $500.

We rented a place up there yrs ago for a game...anyways one of my dumbass friends decided he would chop down a tree at 4 AM. For some reason he had an ax in his car and chopped the motherfricker down. We lost our deposit

Seems like it would be easier just to a normal month rent. I would never rent my house to a bunch of drunk college kids for them to frick it up. The hassle of fixing it would not be worth it.
