Ain't that the truth. My 1 hobby (photography) has totally swallowed my budgetary allowance for such things.

It at least acts as an excuse to be outdoors though, so long as I have the time.

Well, you are probably an OT baller, which is in itself the only hobby anyone could hope to have. It's a lifestyle.

I like playing golf and drinking good beer.

That's about it. I'm not crafty and hunting bores me. I like fishing on occasion but that usually includes beer.

Hiking is fun to me

My only costs are good hiking boots, a camelback and gas costs to drive to the trails

Next time someone ask you about your hobbies, tell them you're a Brony.

Up until recently, I was in the same boat. I like to read. That's about all I had. Now I've started crafting, so at least there's that. It's depressing not to have a hobby.

i dont have a clue about golf. my impression is you buy a $300 bag of clubs and then pay $20 for a round of golf somewhere.

i bet that isn't even close to reality.

just like when i tell you bozos i spend $5k+ on every new bicycle and have a garage full of them.

How can you not have hobbies? Reading, sports, music, tv, remote control airplanes, anything!

Here are some suggestions for new hobbies if you want one:

1. Learn a musical instrument
2. Start writing short stories - plenty of flash fiction and short story publications online
3. Play golf or just go to the range
4. Go shoot at a shooting range
5. Become a movie critic and start your own blog
6. Grow your own produce and/or flowers
7. Paint
8. Invest in a nice video camera and make movie shorts
9. Go to an acting class and then try out for a theater production
10. Amateur porn

My husband's hobby is expensive as well. He will be buying a new mountainbike soon. I'll never get paying 4-5K for a mountainbike.

do me a favor, dont give him any grief over the new bike. i bet he's already worried to death you're gonna fuss about it. i bet he's researched them to death to find the perfect one.

Unless you count work or watching missing women shows, my GF has zero hobbies.

Does lurking around TigerDroppings count?

Yeah, I'm pathetic too because I have no real hobbies.

I'm not crafty or artistic, so that kind of stuff is out.

I'd probably hike more but it's hard to get away from the kiddos and they whine too much when we try to take them with us.

A good set of clubs is way more than $300.

But until I graduate and get my own money, I'm playing with my granddads hand me downs(he's 95 and quit playing 5 years ago, no telling how old these things are). I've probably put in $150 over the last couple of years replacing a few clubs but the irons are the same. $20 a round is also cheap but I usually just mooch off my rich friends' parents club membership and play for free or hit up the cheap muni course.
