Thinking about getting one. Just wondering if anybody has one so I can hear about the pros and the cons of it.

We used to have one named Mr Bacon. He was a mini pig. I tell you what that sumbitch was fast. I don't remember what happened to him.
Pros: lots of laughs
Cons: too quick

Don't get a male, DONT! When I was in HS my sister got a male pot bellie and that thing at 6 weeks old would hump everything constantly. It would go to town if a couch pillow fell on the ground. After like 2 weeks my parents took it back to the farm they bought it from, and my parents are far from high maintenance.
If you are talking outside pet, disregard.

My wife has an 18 year old pot belly pig. They are smart, 3 year old kid smart. They are not Iike a dog, they do their own thing, don't want to be friends unless you have food or they want their belly scratched. She lives inside, house trained, eats outside and goes to the bathroom outside, sleeps in a cage. They don't have stink unless they roll in something. No body odor. They shed hair once a year.

So if the cops pay you a visit and shoot the pig, you have bacon for the rest of the season?
