Ooops, 5 to 1 odds just reduced to 3 to 1.

This is one of those stories that leaves you hanging.

Yeah that stood out to me when I read it yesterday. The "that's absolutely true" part just reeks of guilt trip. JMO.

he must have been extremely depressed for her to commit suicide just recently removed from the vacation. Maybe they exhausted a huge amount of their savings?
Story is really weird to me.
Maybe she was depressed & 'searching for something'(herself/happiness) by traveling. After months of travelling & self-reflection she did not find the happiness she was looking for or answers about life nor herself.
Or maybe she saw some depressing things(oppression/crippling poverty) during her travel that contributed to her depression?

Yes, it might sound fishy.
But if there is a significant anxiety disorder, or other mental illness, her going missing is very possible.
There was a 40 yr old woman from Lafayette who moved to Holland about 19 yrs ago, who went missing while in Amsterdam.
Her friends said she was a nervous type who thought people were "after her."
She was missing for several months until the snow thawed and they found her body. Fully clothed, no foul play. She just walked out into the darkness to get away from whomever she thought was stalking her, probably got disoriented, then succumbed to the elements.
Might be the case here.

She became disoriented and hung herself up in a tree?
It might be morbid curiosity but I would like to see a pic of how they found her. Like did she actually use rope to hang herself or had some makeshift way of doing it

She couldn't bare the thought of living life away from her lover she met in Italy while traveling the world
