I just left my local Walmart and I was absolutely blown away by the service provided to me by the assistant store manager. I know there is a certain stigma associated with some Walmart employees. The guy who assisted me said he was relatively new to the company. Perhaps Walmart is going in a different direction and trying to shed the stigma by hiring better employees? Either way, thanks baw!

Yeah I know. Dear Facebook....

The guy was from LA and late 20's. Probably posts here

The people who work at Walmart have never really been the issue. It's the Dollar Store tier clientele that make it an unshoppable place

That's why I was so surprised by his dedication to good service. It's been my experience the employees typically are a representation of the kind of people who shop there on a regular basis. Either Walmart is going in a different direction or this guy won't be with the company long.

My wife worked there while in college. My mother in law retired from there as the Electronics Dept Man. She had 30 yrs with them with a shite ton of stock.

Our WalMart is the cleanest, most well staffed Wal Mart I've ever been in. I don't have a problem with it.

Yes. For 2 years straight out of high school.

They hired crackheads to run cash registers. One employee stole money and gave friends/family discounts and was promptly fired only to be rehired months later.

Company went to shite when Sam Walton died.

1960 within 1 mile either way from Champion Forest Dr. is still pretty solid. Back when I was coming up, it was one of the nicer areas in the Houston metro area. Dream and Farrah Fawcett's parents lived in the area once upon a time.

I don't know how much she was making. I know the store manager bought a brand new Mercedes SUV with her bonus.
