Last car I bought online I actually paid the asking price on Carvana.
So much less stress and the price still beat at the local dealerships.

Recently bought car this way. Negotiated, drove a few hrs, to find out how much they would give me for trade in (had two other dealerships appraise it before) signed papers and returned after a couple of after market things were added, left trade-in and drove off in new car.

Make them an offer instead.

I'm about to do this on an Acura SUV. Anyone have experience negotiating on a luxury brand? This will be my first time. I've always heard that "luxury" brands don't negotiate much. From the information I've seen online, average savings for the model I'm looking at are roughly $2,500-3,000 off MSRP (per TrueCar). Going on sites like Cars.com, the dealerships all list MSRP as their price. My credit is no issue, I'm already pre-approved on financing at a lower rate than Acura is offering and have a sizable downpayment.
I've kept in touch with the Internet sales guy at the local dealership. My plan is to send out emails to BR, Jackson, Mobile and probably a couple Houston dealerships to see if I can get the ball rolling on negotiations electronically.

Make an offer is the right answer.

No. I pay over asking just to get things done quickly.
You are the norm for posters on the OT when truck price threads come up.

Yes. TEAM Honda in Baton Rouge and the price I was told online was honored.

You need to make an offer one way or another.
