I told my wife I bet we could at least get a free dessert at worst, free meal at best, she said she would murder me.

Thoughts?

She won't murder you because of the witnesses. Do it

Still have to take her home and be alone with her later.

The insurance money, probably.

She gets embarrassed really easily, this is pretty much a nightmare for her. But on the plus side, free cheesecake.

I'm guessing a free meal AND some single chick in there has to feel bad for me.

my father does shite like this solely to get free stuff. he doesn't do it around me.

But he always tells the airlines he is on his honeymoon/anniversary. he will go into restaurants and tell them its his birthday to get a free dessert/drink.

He had hid this from me, but got really drunk and started bragging about getting upgraded to europe and how he did it. And then he proceeded to brag about the birthday trick.

I found it utterly disgusting.

My grandmaw did this with us grandkids a couple times when we were younger. She would pile many of us in her van and take us out to eat and to the dollar movie. Used to always embarrass me when she did this though. I was never the one with the "birthday" cause I would never be able to play along.

Did this once with a friend in like 06 at Pluckers. We were drunk and wanted free beer. No free beer or frychos. I think this was before the bar expansion was even built, yes Pluckers on Nicholson use to only be a restaurant that had 2 beers on tap.

Wasn't there an episode of Rules of Engagement dedicated to this.
