I haven't been around mold.

I'm going on almost 4 weeks now with it, although it's not that bad anymore.
Started with a horrible horrible sore throat. Could barely talk. This lasted about 3-4 days. Then I was coughing constantly, to the point where I couldn't sleep. Coughing lasted about a week. Had a runny nose with the cough as well. Seemed like nothing I took helped at all. I've got the coughing stopped but I've been having post nasal drip for a good 2 weeks now. I can still feel it in my chest when I run or laugh, I start coughing.

shite is aggravating. My wife and 2 kids didn't get sick from me somehow.

Yes. God dammit I thought I had the flu/aids two weeks ago. Fever/aches/head stuffy. Then my gf got it. And I went to my Dr for usual visit and he was sick as frick too with a cold and mentioned not wanting to get out of bed the day before.
I guess colds can be mo worser some seasons. It got us 3 for sure.

Eta: was a solid week of increasingly intolerable sore throat and aches and trouble sleeping. Then got better and fine now.

A month ago I started feeling bad - same symptoms as OP. Waited a week to see if it would take care of itself. It violently did not. Was coughing so bad I was passing out. Went back to doc and was put in hospital, where they ran more tests. Winds up I have double pneumonia

Spent two days in hospital, numerous shots of steroids, and told to go home. That was two weeks ago. Still coughing my head off. I feel for you OP...

I usually always get a cold this time of year. Usually go in and get a cortisone shot and I'm all good. This year I have had cold symptoms for about 3 weeks now and I've had a shot and a round of antibiotics. Still dealing with a stuffy nose, sinus pressure, and a sore throats at times.

I had one about 3-4 weeks ago. Lasted for a couple weeks solid.

I usually get 2 a year. One around this time, and one at the beginning of spring when all of the blooming is happening. It's like a fact of life at this point.
