Police drove through Lakeview today giving tickets to all cars parked against the flow of traffic. This was the second time I've heard of it and the first time that I've had to give my $20 donation. Hell I'd give them $20 per week if they would fix my back alley to where I could park behind my house! Glad to see the NOPD is focusing on fixing Nola's problems! Oh well glad it's really cheap

1. Are you sure it was NOPD? It's usually the parking monitor company.

2. I hate when people park the wrong way on the street. Maybe you lazy butts can pull that hot rod around and park like civilized folks.

I just assumed it was the NOPD because it's a parking ticket. Do you think it was the meter ladies that work downtown? Don't think they work on a Sunday but could be wrong.

Well I can't enter my street from Bragg because there's a tree in the middle of it and not sure how you want me to pull a u turn when cars are lining the street....

I guess it could have been NOPD, but the parking monitors (meter maids) work for a private company that makes more money when they write more tickets. I think they'd get pissed if the real cops horned in on their profits!

New Orleans privatized parking enforcement? lol wtf?

I would love to see who the company paid or hired in order to win.

They write these tickets more frequently than twice per year.

I wouldn't be to happy about that if I lived in Lakeview. From the looks of it, it's been at least two decades since some of those streets were touched by anything resembling maintenance.

Yeah, the police have to go around the potholes just like everyone else to get to these poorly-parking hooligans.

Maybe even the police will complain when their cars are messed up...?

Probably at least 4 decades. I lived right off Canal Blvd. and Harrison in the early 90's. At that time, pretty much everything off of Canal Blvd. was a obstacle course.

Maybe next time you won't be a dangerous tpos and park the right way.

Good for nopd writing tickets to people not following the letter of the law.

That's not near as bad as my money grab incident. I was on Claiborne turning left at Napoleon. 2 cops sitting there waiting to doll out $250 red light tickets. Such bullshite at that intersection.

Yep. If you park anywhere near the finish line for the Crescent City Classic, this information is relevant.

Definitely meter maids.
Tons of SB parties means plenty extra cars on the fine streets = profit for NO city govt
