About 3 hours ago my lower back start feeling tight. About 45 minutes ago I went to pick up my little girl and an intense sharp pain shot through my lower back. I dropped like a sack of potatoes. I couldn't move a muscle without it feeling like a knife was being gouged in my lower back. I was on the ground for a good 20 minutes before I let my wife help me up. It's not bad now, just tight still. Anyone know what this could be?

I haven't been lifting anything besides my little girl and she only weighs 22 lbs. I've never had any back trouble before. The pain was unbelievably bad. Thank goodness it was just a shooting pain.

I have back spasms a couple times a month. Just lay flat on my stomach and control my breathing and it passes after a little while.

I have two fractures between my L4 and L5.

Flared up on me this weekend. Been pain killers and exercises to manage through it.

At 32 I'm not looking forward to this shite.

shite just got real. Folded me up again. Can't go to the hospital because my wife has to stay with my daughter and I can't drive like this. No way in hell I'm calling an ambulance for back pain. Never had anything like this happen before. The pain is ridiculous. I guess I'm gonna have to tough it out until Monday if it doesn't get better. I just wonder what it could be.

I thought it might be kidney stones since pretty much everyone in my family has had them except me but they all say it was a continuous pain. This is a sharp shooting pain.

Could be a pulled muscle. Or a pinched nerve.

Pinched nerve it sounds like.

I have disc degradation between my L5-S1. I get on a wobble chair to loosen it up. Worst thing for it is when I stand for long periods of time.

I feel you there - was kicker for fb and catcher for bb, my legs have turned into a nightmare since I turned 30. Knees pop constantly, ankles constantly rolling, twisting, spraining. Have to wear a brace under my work boots now to keep it stable.

Every now and then. It's my own fault though.

Bad form.
