Anybody got a family member or friend that you don’t want to see because of their dog?

My sister in law and her husband are great people and we were always at their house and vice versa. They got a dog a few years ago and she is the type that has to bring the dog everywhere she goes and puts a diaper on the dog so he doesn’t pee in the house (lazy to take the dog out). They don’t even take the dog to the vet for his shots and they groom the dog themselves because nobody will take the dog with no shot record.
They constantly feed the dog human food all day and barks like crazy when we eat and cries if he doesn’t get anything. What’s frustrating is her husband allows this nonsense to happen. We tried talking to them about it but they don’t want to hear it or get offended. I never heard a dog bark all day like this dog and I’m at the point where I don’t want to be around them because of how they raise and treat the dog to do whatever he wants. Anybody know anybody who is like this with their dog?

A dog is the reason why my husband doesn’t see one of his sisters anymore
It was (is??) a boxer - and not a bad dog but it would constantly run up behind our kids and push them down - she’d laugh so the dog kept doing it
It was annoying

We have friends that make their damn dogs the center of attention whenever we’re hanging out. They even collect our dinner plates and let them lick them clean…at the table.

I've got a cousin whose house I haven't been in in 10ish years because they have like seven or eight dogs. That shite is just annoying and it is impossible to sit down and have a conversation. We talk in the yard. How long that lasts depends on how hot or cold it is or how bad the mosquitoes are.

My parents have a little maltipoo they sort of inherited from my sister. The dog is old af now, and blind, and just goes absolutely nuts barking whenever anyone comes inside the house, or someone makes a loud noise. I realize it’s probably because he can’t see anymore, and is acting out of fear, but I’d be lying if I said that dog didn’t put me in a bad mood every time I go over there.

For me it’s the nonstop barking 24/7.

We have a little dog that's about 90% deaf. He's a sweet little dog but he barks at just about anything because he can't hear shite.
I feel bad that he barks so much sometimes but he's 12 years old and not mean to anyone.

That is when you run up to your sister and push her down. EVERY frickING TIME.
That's a bad owner, not a bad dog.

My nephew has a Golden Doodle that they use to bring to my inlaws for Sunday Lunch, my FIL let that shite go about 2 months before he put his foot down and said no more. Yall can come over anytime but leave the dog home.

I know some people who are proudly childless but bring their terrible dogs everywhere and everyone just has to deal with it. They still act like kids are so annoying but they’re constantly yelling at their dogs and killing the hang.

That’s a fun topic on the O-T.

Not even rabies shots?
There is your excuse to not be around them “sorry I don’t want to risk getting rabies”

That sounds horrifying. Got a close friend who’s annoyed by his own dogs so he tends to give mine a hard time. I don’t like that much either.
