At 32 would it be bad to join regular marine corp? Not as an officer, I wonder if I could make it through, but felt there is an age cutoff I'm sure. I went to fire academy that was 10 weeks but I was 22 and I know that wouldn't have been near as tough as marine boot camp. I remember some of the guys in navy and national guard saying our fire academy was tougher than what they went through.

I believe the Marine Corps cut-off is 27.

Figured there was a cutoff around that age, but I could have sworn an old marine buddy of mine said they had a 28 y/o in with him. This was back around 2000-01.

I had a good buddy enlist right before his 27th bday so he could make the cut. They may let you in after 27 with prior service, but I'm not sure.

Yeah it's basically 27 for the Marines. You have to complete recruit training before your 28th Birthday.

Prior service can get tricky because if your prior other service you're counted as a new accession where a marine comming back could use his active years to reduce his enlistment age.

Right now the marines aren't taking prior service marines. And a lot if other branch prior service members are hard to get in due to age, dependants, tattoos, RE code etc...
