Seems many of the Auto transmissions today especially GM have had issues. That got me wondering are any newer trucks today offered in a manual transmission.

While obviously not a truck, im pretty sure you can still special order a Jeep Wrangler with a manual transmission .. i honestly cant believe ive lived long enough to see a time when a stick shift needs to be ‘special ordered .’

Tacos has a manual option still. Looks like that’s going to be my next truck even though it’s a couple years out

Sigh.

I'm holding on to my 1998 Dodge 2500 5.9L Cummins Diesel 5-speed.

Tacoma, but it's only one spec of the truck. 99% of 2024 vehicles are autos now, which is dumb. I had a 03 Ranger with a manual that was an absolute blast to drive.

Bronco, and Wrangler aren't trucks. According to Motor Trend, the Tacoma and the Jeep Gladiator are the only trucks offered with manual transmissions in 2024.

I bet less than 1/4 of the registered users here know how to drive a stick shift. First ride was a 3 on the tree

Learned to drive (when I was 10) in a 1972 Volkswagen Thing with a 4-speed, on our farm.
