The two original books with the paintings were some of my favorite books as a kid.

I loved the concept, extremely creative and the detail he put into making the world believable was fantastic - especially for a little nerdy boy that loved to draw.

I still have both of those books. I think I also had two paperbacks that were from the same series (those weren't illustrated). Loved those books as a kid.

From the depths of the World Beneath to the slopes of Sabertooth Mountain, I loved that world. It made dinosaurs so much cooler than Jurassic Park ever did for me.
