Or a similar online diagnostic service that can write prescriptions? Seems like a good deal for only $49

I'm sick of paying $169 out of pocket for a Dr. or physicians assistant to tell me what I already know, that I have a sinus infection and need an antibiotic.

I have twice. In fact I have an unopened package ready in the case of a sinus infection. They seem to work the first time. They smell like antibiotics

Read that as anabolics.

Go to the fish section of the pet store and get a bottle of 250mg Fish-Mox. It comes from the same manufacturer, and contains the exact same ingredients as the medication you can pickup at Walgreens or CVS. Fraction of the cost.

Eta

I read that something like 80%+ of sinus infections are viral and not bacterial. I toughed out my last sinus infection with Motrin, a Neti pot and saline nasal spray. Took about 3 weeks, but was able to avoid antibiotics. Never ran fever or anything like that. Just a stuffy nose and minor sinus pain.

But, never used the service your talking about. My dr does phone appointments with no charge. Will call in something if I need it or tell me to come in if she thinks it's worse than I think it is.

Ordered. You don't even need a prescription. One place I believe is called Canadian pharmacy or something like that. You just choose your medication, dosage, and quantity.

It's the same stuff, if you didn't tell her and spent $15-$20 for twice as much and saved for what it would cost for 2 bottles..you could take the extra $200+ for yourself.

They are and overuse of antibiotics leads to resistant bacteria, but who cares about that, right?

Yeah, I've done it and keep a stash. If you know what you're doing, it's a good way to go.

In all seriousness, I learned of this from my in laws and started to do it as well. It is the same stuff you get from the pharmacy, just has fish on the label.

The key is to allow yourself to become so filthy that bacteria can't survive.

Legit antibiotics, in most countries including Canada and Mexico, antibiotics are over the counter medications. You tell the pharmacy workers what your symptoms are and they sell you the right antibiotics and tell you what dosage to take. It's that simple, no dr. visit needed.

Thanks, Scruffy. People thought I was crazy. But why take antibiotics if it's viral. I just had to blow my nose a lot. Doesn't sound great, but it's not dangerous.

I'd rather just suck it up a couple of weeks and avoid antibiotics if possible. Besides, some antibiotics give me heart palpitations sometimes and that ain't no kind of fun. The worst is clindamycin and augmentin. I refuse to take those.

He's right. It's pure amoxicillin. I always have a bottle in the cabinet. I've never found it at a retail store, but I order it from here:

Revival Animal Health

Works perfectly.

No, you don't.

Geniuses like you are why we have antibiotic resistance. You don't need it for a sinus infection.

I buy antibiotics from the vet. It's the exact same medicine, and it is dirt cheap.
