I've got a perry Ellis wallet from Dillard's that I paid like 30 bucks for that I love. I can't imagine what 90 bucks more worth of wallet would provide me

Here's one that's identical to the one you linked except it costs $100 less. ( LINK)

I have a pretty good idea that Allen Edmonds wallet has much higher quality construction and will last a lot longer than that $20 wallet. Sometimes you are just paying extra money for a brand, and sometimes you get what you pay for. Allen Edmonds is known for quality, at least for their shoes. I wouldn't be surprised if the same is true for their wallets.

The tie is on etsy for $24. You could probably find a tailoring shop that would be willing to deconstruct it and make a wallet out of it.

Make that shite happen.

I'm a firm believer in the concept of getting what you pay for. Whenever I am shopping for a product I don't look at which one costs the most or the least. What I care about is how much value I get for my money. If I need to spend extra to get more value, I won't hesitate to do it.

But this is a $125 wallet. I've got a leather HD wallet that's going on 20 years old and I think it cost me like $20.

Now if you can convince me what more value than my current wallet I'll get for the extra $105 this wallet will cost me, I'll order the damn thing tonight.

I've been sporting the 80's eel skin for some time now. About $15 - 20 on eBay.

Except this one stinks of goat urine (urea) used in Pakistan in the tanning process.

If you watched some of the "leather" made in the third world you might be a little more selective especially if you were shopping for leather sofa to sit on.

I picked up a couple of leather wallets in Italy a couple of years ago. They're great and as I recall they weren't expensive.

Bruh It's 125 fricking dollars, not 425. If you can't recognize the difference in material, construction, craftsmanship between a $20 wallet and a $120 wallet, idk what to tell you. When it comes to leather goods, I enjoy high quality products. You're probably the type that tells your kids "you just need this $15 Dillard's wallet, they're all made at the same place anyway."

Carson, what makes the wallet in the OP "sick"?

How nice could the .5sqft of leather be. You put it in your pocket, take it out, put it in... Are you doing something with your wallet that I'm not done with mine?

I will spend money for quality things most of the time but a wallet isn't that high on the list of things I am concerned with quality of. It wears out...get a new one.

Quality leather, lambskin lining, clean stitching, and durable construction/craftsmanship. It's hard to appreciate in pictures.

Go to a shoe store and look/feel a pair of Johnston & Murphy shoes alongside a pair of Allen Edmonds. You will understand

And that's fine. My current $60 wallet from high school is on its last leg and just want something a little nicer. People pay premiums for different shite

I just don't think it's as much of a premium as some are making it out to be. It's one thing to be $30-40 higher than other premium offerings, and it's a whole another thing to be Ghurka or Longchamp, where you're paying quadruple for a status symbol. I love AE shoes and their service is fantastic, so I don't mind paying a little extra

Need a wallet and torn between the beautiful Allen Edmonds and the Wally Agent shoved on me by TD for reading this thread. It's very practical. LINK
