Ok.

Power lift gate only opens a few inches before it stops. Almost like the motor doesn't have enough power to open it. Just started this morning.

Also, outside temp is showing that it is 46* outside.

Disconnect the battery for a few minutes. See what happens

Sound like it may be under warranty, time wise. Good luck.

With the weird temp gauge, may be a body control module going out. Get to autozone and have codes read. Go from there.

I've also had a battery with a bad cell do similar.

What this guy said, my wife has a 13' edge that does that sometimes. This thing has some serious computer issues, dealer can flash the computer and it will correct one problem for a few weeks. Lift gate is one that shows up.

The temp is now working. I guess it just took a while to cycle through after reconnecting he battery.

Do you think the battery can cause the lift hate issue? Can pronouns run that test?

Check your liftgate button on inside your vehicle to make sure it isn't pushed in. If it's not, you likely have a bad liftgate strut. Easy to change and cheap.

I'd take your battery to AutoZone to get tested. When I had a Chevy truck, it did a lot of weird things when the battery was going out.

Yes, if yours is like mine, push the liftgate button in to where it stays in, the one above your rear view mirror. Then try to lift the gate manually and see if it will stay up on its own. If not, bad strut. If so, burn the vehicle down.

It opens about 12 inches then it stops. I can then lift it all the way open and it will stay open when I let go.
