I was fortunate to get an interview for membership and I was curious if any of you are part of the fraternity and had any advice for the interview. My grandfather and father were Freemasons before they passed away so I want to continue that legacy.

What part of "secret society" did you miss?

A lot of people admit to being a Freemason, including the Shriners you see at parades.

I'm not like poking for trade secrets, just ideas on how to prepare for the interview.

No, I was a thuggee once though. Took the blood etc.

Kicked me out though when the confusion between American and India's "indian" was sorted out.

Both of my grandfathers were Freemasons, and my grandmother was OES... one day I will follow in their footsteps

Props for keeping the legacy alive

It's basically just the protestant version of the Knights of Columbus. They do charity stuff, hold bake sales, sell food, do old people stuff, etc. There's lots of conspiracy theories from back in the olden days when Freemasons literally built this country.

Why would a real Freemason tell you anything before they accepted you?
