another day, another BR bridge fiasco

Left lane blocked on I-10 westbound on new bridge. Traffic.
Correction: it was the middle lane that was blocked. The helpful road signs were incorrect in their assessment of the affected lane closure which likely caused further delays. Yay.

Don't worry, electric signs to tell you how long the wait is are coming.

as I usually say, take the loop.

We need an acronym for this like the GMT and LNST since its a daily occurrence.
Old, POS, poorly maintained vehicles
Low IQ drivers
Cell phone use
Too many truckers, many of whom are inexperienced, tired or stupid
Horribly designed and maintained roads
Lack of thoroughfares, loop or other options to using I-10
Katrina effect
What have I missed?

Lack of teleportation technology?

Is it a wreck and is it still blocked?
How far is it backed up?

Stalled vehicle at the top of the bridge, most recent camera shots shows it stacked up to the 10/12 split

Cool. I just poured another cup of coffee and pulled the covers up. I'll just wait it out for a bit.

What's the deal with the bridge lately? Some construction or something? Or just a string of coincidences?

Other motorists should band together and flip the stalled car off the bridge...

Since I have to travel that stretch of I-10 daily, I think I covered most of the causes in my earlier posts. I've spent several weeks each in LA, Chicago and Houston over the past couple of years and BR has more problems on a daily basis than any of them, based on morning traffic reports and actual commutes.

Remember: A vote for me is a vote for replacing soft, live saving airbags with spikes. The explosive charge to drive the contraption will still be there. Bad driving becomes a self-correcting problem.

car wasn't stalled. it was a wreck.
people drive like assholes on the bridge in the mornings. the majority of drivers at that time of the morning are exiting off the bridge to go down LA1 South. There is only one lane and the assholes cut over in front of people to get in the lane just before the exit.
