City is still wasting time debating it.

When they should be debating hiring more police officers so honkeys are safe.

When all of the statues are down, what will all of you upstanding members of society blame all of the killing of each other on?

They need to replace it with a statue of your supreme leader.

This would make a good one.

Along with the tourist dollars.

These statues should be considered a historical structure and protected cultural resource. I've seen developments get stopped for much less significant cultural resources. I haven't really followed this story, but what are the plans for where they will be moved?

Yeah, putting up Frederick Douglas statues and naming every street MLK Blvd will finally create harmony within and outside the black community

Thanks for the insight into the fragile, yet easily fixable, black psyche, ya heard me?

Some of them are listed on the National Register of Historic Places (like the R.E. Lee statue).

The ones listed on the NRoHP can't just be moved because some dumbass mayor thinks it's a good idea. That shite is at the federal level.

That's not gonna cover the legal fees for the lawsuits to follow. The city doesn't own then monuments (at least Lee) the group that donated it apparently had as an agreement with the city where the city can't just take it down.
