I bet he wouldn't have brandished that sidearm if her pussycat had gotten excited and went for his leg.

Um hmm, yeah... that's how pretty she is.

Dumbass. You pack heat to protect yourself from all possible threats, regardless of how many legs the mutt may have.

I'd wager that delivery drivers get robbed more than any other occupation. Of course they pack heat.

Actress Angie Harmon

She was a dime piece in the 2000's and is still pretty hot.

I'm starting to feel old, all the chicks I liked as horny teenager are in their 50's now.

So, the dog was trying to rob the delivery person?
Has The whereabouts of Kristi Noem been established when this went down?

So, what's she suing for? It was a free dog.

Is this a small claims court matter?

I remember this story, I think the delivery driver was using someone else's account. With that said, what is she expecting to gain by suing the driver? I am not a lawyer so does it help her case by adding the driver to the lawsuit?

And I really don't know exactly how Instacart works. Are drivers considered contractors? If so, then they would be responsible for the drivers right? But maybe not as responsible as they would be if they were employed by Instacart?

I would think that if you are expecting someone to deliver something to your house, you would make sure your dog is in the back yard or in the house or something, but then again the details about where the dog was and how the dog approached the delivery person is unavailable. By looking at the dog, it doesn't appear it would be much of a threat. At least not one to justify shooting it.. But then again, that's just an assumption.

But him bragging about it saying "I shot your dog,,, What?" leads me to believe he is an idiot.

As to the identity fraud on the part of the dog killer. These delivery apps could EASILY overcome this by requiring facial recognition or fingerprint ID to receive orders and access the app.

This gentleman was trespassing in any legal sense of the world as Harmon had agreed for someone named Merle who was backgroud checked by Instacart to be delivering the groceries.

They do. It's not every time you open the app, but maybe once every 5 times you have to scan your face and verify your identity.

I've seen lots of families share the app though. Mom or Dad will be driving, teenage kid will run the orders up to the door. And sometimes the kid just works alone. DOn't know. Maybe he's just trying to help out the family?

Same.

She's still a dime piece.

She went to the same high school as Matt Stafford (Highland Park in Dallas)

Why didn’t the driver say the dog charged me? He said attacked. There should be marks something if your attacked.
the dude was an instacart driver. The odds he passed high school English are low.

I mean it’s in the OP..
quote:

Harmon is suing the delivery service and driver — identified in the suit as Christopher Anthoney Reid — for alleged trespassing, conversion, negligence, negligent supervision/hiring, invasion of privacy and negligent misrepresentation.

It sounds like her lawsuit revolves around the fact that the driver misrepresented himself as someone else (presumably a family member) who would have gone through the requisite screening, agreed to the terms of service (which apparently include not being allowed to carry a firearm on deliveries), etc.

I doubt anyone will be able to prove whether the dog actually “attacked” the guy or not. It doesn’t sound like it actually bit him. Maybe it growled or bared its teeth. Or maybe it just barked and he’s terrified of dogs and overreacted.

Regardless, I can certainly understand her anger when a guy who isn’t supposed to actually be delivering her groceries comes to her house and shoots her dog, apparently with kids in the house as well.

So she's suing an instacart driver for emotional distress and a mutt? That's some Judge Judy shite.

That’s not relevant. Was the dog attacking him or not?
