1/16th Mississippi Choctaw, but you would swear he just stepped off the reservation. Dude looked 100% Native American

I'm more than a 1/16th and other than the tall thin build, high cheek bones and vast hairless parts of my body...
Also relatively pale with some freckles that tans very golden dark...

I'm kind of viking in appearance.

A lot of people are doing the ancestry DNA thing and are being surprised to find out they have no native american heritage after being told their whole life that a great grandparent was half Cherokee or something like that. Happened to a friend of mine, for his whole life he thought he was 1/32 NA, turns out he has zero.

If you are considering a dna test do not use ancestry. It's junk. Look at 23 and me for this.

some of my results from the paternal lineage test. we did a maternal as well

This is common DNA, there are different levels and colors represent different levels of separation in the levels of the test. The two red dots hidden in Ireland and Scotland are the closest and we actually share a last name.

Just got this back on one of my kids.

eta: just showing what you get back from Ancestry.com when you do the test.

etaa: I was pretty disappointed with ancestry.com, after you pay that much, then they just try to upsell you on to the membership.

It wasn't expensive. I think when I did it it was monthly like 30-40 so depending on how much info is there and how fast you work you can't accomplish a good bit in a short time.

Also your work is saved(or it used to be) so you can come back a month or whatever later and pick up where you left off.

In theory, based on my parents, I am 25% Hispanic. I don't put that on anything. My looks are mostly just like my dad, who is half Dutch.

I am super curious to take one of those DNA tests. $199 is still too rich for my blood.
