Probably because some are loud and complain constantly, which makes it seem like there's far more than there really is.

I'd assume there were a lot of non-idiots who would guess less than 5 percent. Which means there are plenty of absolute morons who guessed at least 40 percent. People are so fricking stupid.

It would blow their mind if you showed them racial population demographics, especially if you broke it down by state.

African Americans make up roughly 13% of the US Population.

They make up roughly 32% of the population of Louisiana.

And they make up roughly 60% of new orleans.

On the contrary, black people are 6% of California and less than 2% of San Fran.

I always laugh my arse off when some dumbfrick hippie from California or specifically San Francisco tries to explain to me race relations and the problems in society.

As if they have any fricking idea.

You could conceivably live your entire life in San Francisco and never see a black person.

You'd have a hard time going a day without interacting with one in New Orleans.

And yet people always call the South racist.

Of course we have race issues. We're the only fricking ones who actually have racial diversity.

There will never be peace or prosperity until all people are gay, black, and wanting to mutilate their own penis.

I think that is part of the racial problems we have. Minorities think they make up a bigger percentage than they do.

I saw a Gap ad on Twitter with 5 kids and of course it was multi-culti with a white kid, a black kid, an asian kid and two ethnically vague kids (hispanic? arab?).

There were many comments complaining that there was only 1 black kid. If anything, that 1 was an over sample.

This causes much resentment, due to perceived inequality in numbers.

This is like the Oscars controversy. Blacks have won many more awards than their population should dictate, but they got shut out one year and pitched a fit.

If there were 10 kids, to be accurate the poster would have:

7 white kids
1 black kid
1 half white half black kid
1 half Asian quarter native American quarter other kid

And people would bitch it was racist.
