I’ve lived a lot of places through the South and West Coast. I’ve never heard of this until about two weeks ago when GEOTUS moved his rally to deconflict.

I've heard of it at least 5 or 6 years ago. Not much mention of it before then from any of my friends.

I knew what it was, but this is the first time I’ll be a racist if I don’t celebrate it vehemently.

Does it make you wonder what else you might not have heard of?

Every year we have this exact thread multiple times and it’s always the same people pretending they have never heard of it

Just search Juneteenth and TD and you will find plenty of examples

Yes, and your GEOTUS didn’t make it famous. You’re just a moron.

My anniversary is today. I've never heard of this. Can we quit inventing words? Why not call it Galveston, TX Slave Freedom Day? "Juneteenth" sounds ignorant and silly.

It's not really on white people's radar. But in today's hyper-racial climate, you're a racist piece of shite (duh, you're white) if you don't celebrate it.

Several years ago I was camping in the middle of nowhere Texas when a local started talking about his “book”. He mentioned something about Juneteenth being the day when the lizard people overlords would teleport humans through the Frost Bank Building in Austin to Death Valley CA where the Chinese had been stockpiling oil and everyone would die in an oil inferno.

After that, I googled Juneteenth and learned the true significance of the day. I guess I did learn something from that crazy old guy.
