I could see an old Cuban man or Puerto Rican man wearing those

2 of the last three pairs of shoes I bought from AE were shite.
The right shoe in one pair wrinkled on the top. Looked terrible as a dress shoe, but were ok for wearing with jeans so I converted them.
The other pair quickly developed a crease in both toe caps.
AE also screwed over the little shoe shop where I've been buying AE's for 30 years +. They would no longer let him order because of new quantity requirements.
I've switched to Alden for the most part.

I haven't fully converted over yet, but I have started to question AE over the past few years. They've undergone ownership changes (the most recent one being within the past year I believe), which may have caused some adverse changes. I'll probably buy a pair during this sale and give them one more try.

I bought a pair of tan wingtips that were really nice and look great. My big concern was the indifference to my complaint. 20 years ago, I had a pair where the toe cap quickly creased and it was promptly replaced. This time, it was a "we're sorry" and that was it.

McAllister is definitely the dress shoe to have.

Aldens are good too. For an everyday dress shoe, the AEs are hard to pass up at these prices. Testoni is probably my favorite overall
