They usually deal with people who are breaking laws and going to jail for various reasons. It's part of their job to deal with these people. They, by and large, don't deal with law-abiding people because there's no reason to. I'm sorry you can't grasp that concept.

Responding to a fender bender bro.

Why?

That is a very bad shoot.
The worst part is that none of the officers rendered any aide to the victim. Their training must be terrible.
It's one thing to have an unjustified use of deadly force but then to do nothing to help the victim once it is obvious that there isn't any threat is just horrible.

Oh, I can post another where someone politely complied during a traffic stop and it was shot .
Isn't that all you post?
And, before you say I'm defending this cop, he should be in jail.
Like LNCHBOX said, your trolling schtick is old.

People are really bad at getting pulled over and being arrested.
I have an idea. Don't exit your car like a bat outa hell when you're pulled over for a traffic stop. Basically don't act retarded and you'll be fine. Jumping out of your vehicle in the middle of the night with something black in your hand isn't the smartest move. If you're arrested by a dumb cop for no reason, you have a better chance of fighting it and pleading your case to a judge after the fact. That doesn't make it right, but acting like an idiot still isn't a smart move.
So you decide to take the time to type up some holier than thou opinion/ how-to on dealing with cops in a situation that is completely irrelevant to the story at hand.
Seriously baws, read the goddamn article before you post. This one would have taken maybe 1 minute.

Ask him how he would grade the intelligence of the average person he deals with. Then ask him if the people he deals with usually have positive feelings about the interactions.

whoops
I could understand if this guy was being pulled over and the guy just jumped out like that but why is a cop pulling a gun out when showing up on the scene of an accident?

Did the cop know it was dark outside? Did the cop know if he had a bomb in the car? Did the cop know the truck driver was in the line of fire?
Do you think the cop knew it was a wallet? Answer that question.

It's his job to accurately survey the situation. He failed. Kid is lucky to be alive.
Look at the bright side- here's another case backing the power of police to shoot civilians when they want to.

yep. just sit there. all you have to do is be still. but people think they are soooo important that they can do whatever they want.

As a Former LEO, I have no way to defend this trooper and it is depressing to me that this was deemed justified!

He wasn't pulled over. It was a traffic accident. The cop was just now getting there.
Which makes it even worse for the cop. Violent criminals don't typically sit in their vehicle for several minutes waiting for the cops to show up.
I understand the idea of being calm, moving slowly, etc., but this cop royally fricked up.

exactly how i feel.
i would have stayed in my vehichle. i don't want to get smashed by some idiot while standing on the side the road

That they called him to and waited for him. I mean, wtf.
Would you not wait in your car on the side of the road and get out when the cop arrived?
That's what I've done in every fender bender I've been in.

Do you honestly think that cop was just looking for someone to shoot?
The guy clearly fricked up, but you're taking it a bit far.

So he usually deals with intelligent people who like cops? that's the typical interaction?
