AEW Wednesday Night Dynamite Thread: TBS Era Begins Edition

Welp... NXT Black & Gold officially died last night as Roderick Strong lost toe Cruiserweight Championship... thus ending the title's existence yet again... and Bron Breakker forced Tommaso Ciampa to submit to the Steiner Recliner to win the NXT Championship.

Reports are out saying Jeff Hardy was originally supposed to be MSK's shaman in NXT... and that vignettes for that reveal were already shot and ready to air and Hardy was set to have some kind of run in NXT when Hardy was released by WWE. That forced everything to be redone... with the new shaman being Matt Riddle.

Brandon Cutler & Matt Jackson both tested positive for COVID... and Nick is isolating as well since he's typically around his brother... meaning we're going to have a little delay in the Young Bucks vs. reDRagon for control of Adam Cole's love storyline.

AEW Wednesday Night Dynamite's debut episode on TBS comes from the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. and has 3 big title matches.

AEW World Champion "Hangman" Adam Page will defend his title against "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson for the 2nd time... only this time a 3-judge panel will determine a winner should it go to a time-limit draw again (I feel it won't).

The AEW World Tag Team Championship is on the line tonight as the Lucha Bros defend the title against Jurassic Express. Honestly... I would not be surprised to see this title change hands tonight.

And the 1st AEW TBS Champion will be crowned as Jade Cargill faces Ruby Soho in the Finals of the TBS Championship Tournament.

Malakai Black gets to kill another member of the Varsity Blonds... this time it's Brian Pillman, Jr. I think Malakai will actually do a lot of selling here to help make Pillman look good.

MJF will beat some jobber while also telling New Jersey it's a dump (likely true) and nothing like Long Island.

In ROH... Dalton Castle had his "boys"... so in AEW does Megan Bayne have her "girls"??
