We're looking for a nice, younger, newer type neighborhood to move to. Any one live out that way that can recommend where to build or buy? We're hoping to have our first kiddo this year. Thanks in advance.

Price range would help.

What area are you and/or your wife working?

Also, what size house and price range are you looking to be around?

The Villiage in Covington might be a nice option from what limited info you've given.

Could you be a little less specific?

How about a price range? Look doll, you might want to let your husband deal with all these particulars.

any of those areas would be fine with us. Just not something too far off the interstate like Abita is..

Anywhere around the lake in Mandeville. Madisonville has some build up off the interstate and on the highway to Ponchatoula. Around downtown Covington is nice.

This will put you in contention for all but the Sanctuary basically. At this price point you can find a suitable home in any desirable area of Cov/Mand/Madisonville. You have to figure out your traffic patterns and where you want to be before anyone can help you. I would live in the city limits of Old Covington were I looking to move from elsewhere...unless your job takes you to New Orleans daily in which case the Lakefront area of Mandeville would be my second choice-Unless you were set on a subdivision- which can be anywhere.

Thanks. My job does take me to New Orleans often. Any ideas about young families? We want somewhere we have things in common with our neighbors

I would pick based on school district, not on who my neighbors would be. That's just me though.
