People who are gonna be chewing out Col. Mike who are attending meeting:
Obama
JBE
Loretta Lynch - one of the most corrupt AG's in the history of the US
Dawn Collins - EBR school board; former Obama for America employee
Marc Morial - now president of National Urban League
Deray McKesson - arrested once, maybe twice last week by LSP
So all black people and one wannabe black going at one of the few men in the world who is able to keep protesters in check.

"The police didn't do their job in Baton Rouge, again. They are bound to protect us from harm, to keep us safe, to do everything possible before throwing someone to the ground or pulling the trigger. Yet Alton Sterling is on the long list of Black people killed needlessly by our nation's police, and protests in his honor have turned into circuses of violence where the First Amendment is tossed aside," said ACLU of Louisiana Executive Director Marjorie Esman. "We can't bring Alton Sterling back but at minimum, the police can stop blocking our right to protest in his name."
The only proper response to this is "frick you, bitch".

Didn't do their job according to the 200 protesters that came in town to start shite. Did their job according to the 250,000 residents of Baton Rouge.
They showed the entire country what was possible and what is supposed to happen

I hope this is dismissed because it's a frivolous lawsuit

You can tell this is a southern message board from reading all these comments. The police made more money off these protests than any of the protestors. Ignorance being spewed all over this thread. Stay divided, they want it that way.

"What I saw happening was an immediate threat to life," McCrary said in the release. "My and other demonstrators' speech was chilled because of this event."
Wait, what?
quote:
The lawyers for the plaintiffs in the suit filed for a temporary restraining order against the defendants, which includes the city of Baton Rouge, BRPD, Louisiana State Police, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, and several law enforcement officials.
Yea, ok that's really going to happen.
quote:
"They were there so fast when nothing had occurred that they were obviously preparing for something that hadn't happened, and police refused to negotiate. They just went on the attack," Esman said.
And they were there to make sure nothing occurred too.
quote:
Esman said the distrust between law enforcement and the community comes from the public’s perception of the departments and she believes it is up to police to reduce the existing tension
quote:
"They need to take the first step to heal the damage and they're not going to do that by showing up in riot gear picking a fight with people at the end of a protest," she added.
Or stop committing crimes and obey the law. That would reduce it too.
quote:
Esman stated that Baton Rouge police failed to do their job again with the protests.
fricking idiot.
quote:
Esman hopes the lawsuit will change how officers handle peaceful demonstrations going forward.
Like Ferguson and Baltimore?
I hope the court tells these people to

City spent a bunch of money and cops made a few days of OT. What's your point hippie?
Posted on 7/14/16 at 7:33 am to Hammertime
Can every citizen of EBR counter sue for damages incurred due to blocking of highways which in fact is a state law?
Posted on 7/14/16 at 7:36 am to Hammertime
The cops profited more than the protestors, this is a fact that cannot be disputed.

You have blinders on and bend every situation to fit your preconceived notions....disregarding the facts.

This whole thread is about how the aclu is terrible for filiing a lawsuit against the police, and how the protestors are going to be cashing in from this. My point is that the police department made more money from this than anyone and they are the real true winners.
