According to a television commercial I saw, tobacco marketing targets LBGQT individuals

I can't recall the last time I saw a cigarette commercial with gay dudes unless T Mobile is a brand of cigarettes. Do tobacco companies even advertise?

Tobacco companies haven't been able to advertise on TV for years now.
The only reference to tobacco companies I've seen on TV recently is a commercial with an older black guy saying he has COPD due to smoking cigarettes trying to be cool like they were advertised. The commercial was aimed at big tobacco and their ad campaign for Menthol Cigarettes in black neighborhoods.

I would not go as far as saying tobacco users are mentally ill, but they have made poor choices-----and I did just that for years before I finally quit over 20 years ago.
Today, I regret all the cigarettes I smoked and the money wasted on them although I do have a clean bill of health when it comes to any tobacco related illnesses or diseases-------and for that I'm very thankful.
You could not get me to put one in my mouth and light up now.
