I'm trying not to do that.
I hear Bosch dishwashers are the best, but I've never had one

They definitely are the best looking. I'm thinking about the whirlpool gold, only because my other fridge was a whirlpool gold.. And it's never had a problem.

was coming here to post not to buy a Bosch. I have a Bosch that apparently are pretty complicated to work on, 1 person out of about 20 places within 50 miles of me work on them. They told me that Bosch and Samsung are both pains to work on and a lot of places don't.

Advice from a couple appliance repair places, Kitchenaid is very well made stuff and highly thought of by repair people. A few told me to buy whatever was the cheapest and just replace it rather than repair it.

I think Samsung makes a good clothes washer.

Don't get a front loader. Whatever you do.

Just steer clear of a fridge with too many smart features. Less of a pain maintenance-wise

Do NOT get a high efficiency washing machine front or top loading. You can't soak your clothes and they always smell. Who cares if you save water in New Orleans

get Kenmore middle grade or higher. I've got a Kenmore fridge and a Kenmore washing machine. Both are about 18 years old. Never had a major problem or repair on either. Had a Kenmore dishwasher that last about ten years. Other appliances are GE. Had to do some repairs. As said, the more you spend, the better they will be. You get what you pay for. That's what I've learned.
