eye-oh-way

While technically correct, you can spot a local easily if they leave out the "oh", pronouncing it just "eye-way"

Pretty sure that would make it *not* abandoned.

There are several RV parks close by, in fact,I had my trailer parked at the one next door to it for months. I can't imagine that dilapidated pile of construction debris ever being operational. More power to the guy but I can't imagine it.

SPAR is nice attraction for something that is a short commute and doesn't require over night hotel expenses. For a bored kid who's out of school for the summer it is a good outlet.

I’m convinced it’s a troll with no intention of opening.

The guy is a complete DA that spent a huge amount of money on something he had no idea what it would take to operate. Built a park without a source of water or permits to dispose it?

That place has no shot of being opened any time soon.

Seriously, go look at the post history on the FB page. 4 or 5 posts a year to troll everyone. I be the FB page isn’t even affiliated with the guy that dumped all the money in the place.

I pass that place weekly, nobody’s even been out there, place is as overgrown and dilapidated as it’s ever been, no way in hell its opening July 4 2019. And like one poster mentioned, slides look faded and dry rotted from the interstate, can’t imagine what they look like up close. Next time a construction crew shows up out there it’ll be to tear it down.

Based on the grammar in those posts, that park will shut down within 3 months

Every 2-3 years they say they are opening soon......I dont believe it until I see people there.
Even when its open you wont see any people there. It is in the middle of a I-10 no man's land. There isn't gas station in between Welch and Lake Charles for a reason.

Yeah that's what I was thinking those slides are outright sketch under normal circumstances. Especially now.
