A surprising amount of people don't get the concept of brand loyalty. For instance: I have had a Samsung flat screen tv since I was in HS (~10 yrs ago). I never had a problem with it plus it has great picture, so my next TV was a bigger LED TV from Samsung. And everyone is like "Why does it have to be Samsung? Why don't you like variety?" Umm, because I know what I'm getting instead of gambling to get a worse product or something that annoys me.
Anyone else see where I'm coming from and do the same thing?

Samsung flat screens since my first 48" in 2005
Sony Playstation since the psOne.
Nike/Converse shoes
Coca Cola
Plantronics headsets for office phone
I'm sure I have more but that's the first few off the top of my head that I stand by.

When customers get a tattoo of the company logo on them and their woman, that's brand loyalty.

I have no brand loyalty outside of shoes (Allen Edmonds). I will always buy the best product within my price range

If you like what you are buying at your price point, why do you care what others think?

It's strange that I am not very brand loyal on large purchases like vehicles and boats, but I am on smaller things. I guess with bigger purchases I tend to do more research and weigh the pluses and minuses of each option.
Without going into all of the food brands, here are what I am loyal to:
Samsung TV's
Sony electronics (used to only buy Aiwa, but moved to Sony since they are no longer around)
Browning Firearms
Timex Watches
Uniball Pens
Feather Double edge razor blades
Mitchell's Wool Fat Soap

I only buy the huy fong sri racha sauce... Tried another brand one time, not the same.
I probably do this more with food products than electronics or vehicles.

Humans overestimate the value of the status quo and underestimate the value of change.
