This city is unbelievable.

The cars aren't like the ones in Gretna either. The Gretna ones are pretty obvious, jeeps with whole rigs on top. You can see them from a pretty good distance and slow down.
I saw one of these NOLA cars the other day on the other side of Elysian get someone. They are stealthy as frick. You wouldn't know it was a camera car until it flashes and you get a ticket.

the city's obsession with shaking every last dime out of your pocket is one of the reasons I left

I know for an absolute fact that mitch has instructed the meter maids to ticket for parking violations that haven't been commited because he assumed, quite correctly, that people will just fricking pay it rather than go across the river in the middle of a work day to contest it.

I caught them on video doing it, it's nothing more than a tax for low paying meter maid jobs they contract out, and for bolstering the city's revenue

I got a parking ticket today by Rouses. $1 = 20 minutes of parking. What a fricking racket.
